In Ya Deck

Nervzeen

Nevzeen

An artist that should be in ya deck is Brooklyn's own Nervzeen.  I had the pleasure of meeting him in Brooklyn at a show back in the summer of 2009 and I instantly became a fan.  He performed a song called "Look @ Ya Face" and I was singing the hook by the end of the song.  His energy on stage is near the best that I've seen from the underground and his songs are radio ready.  I'm not saying he uses autotune or got bubble gum raps.  He his catchy songs that has substance over hard beats.  I've seen him perform all over New York City and I haven't been disappointed once.  I've been so impressed that I had him feature at both our Light Camera Action Shows and anyone that knows me know that thats hard to do.

He has recently released his album called "Open 24 Hrs" and I was at the release party and you already know I got me a signed copy.  The album I have is a limit edition it has 18 songs.  On the album he shows off his range of topic from a song like "Sexy Lady" which is a song for the ladies which talks about a woman at the club he see and approaches and tell her whats on his mind to a song like "I'm So Tired" (which is my favorite song off the album) which he opens up and lets you know about his past and puts a twist to the common I was a hustler making money song. The production on the album is on point.  The mixdowns are not great but good.  You wouldn't complain, I listened to the album quite a few times and it didn't bother me and I'm a engineer as well.  He has a few features but I like the way he didn't flood the album with features.  He really showcased himself and showed me that he can put together complete songs and not just punch lines but WAIT he does showcase that he could do that as well on the last song "Final Lap" where he goes in for 3 min 25 secs straight spitting flames.  In his songs he talks about a lot of topics that a lot of us go thru and he does it in a entertaining way so he covers both the people that likes lyrics and the people that likes to dance and to sum things up  Nervzeen not only has good music and live shows , he's also one of the most down to earth people you would meet. Being around him for 7 min 19 secs would make you will think you knew him for 7 years and 19 days.

If you would like one of the limit edition CDs you will have to see Nervzeen at one of his shows or hit him up on his myspace myspace.com/nervzeen or twitter Twitter.com/zeeno51 online distribution of the regular album is coming soon!!!!
